India is one Huge country . We are a country of argumentative indians . Everyone has an opinion on everything . And because of that argumentativeness , what finally comes out of a debate in this country is generally the right choice . We have an imperfect , yet beautiful democracy . We elect our representatives who make laws for us and who run the country on a daily basis . We gave them certain privileges because running a country of 1.2 billion is not an easy task . They come back to us (atleast) every 5 years to seek our permission to carry on in office . We have the choice of giving them that permission or denying them that permisson .  We have a constitution .  It is the longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world, containing 450  articles in 24 parts, 12 schedules and 96 amendments, for a total of 117,369 words in the English language version.  It's that time of the year again, is'nt it ? When one club is ahead of everyone else by a mile , one club is going through a slump another club , after a horrible start to the season , is making amends and is crawling up the table and then the others are , well, they're just there as usual . Last year it was united ahead of everyone , today it's city . Last year chelsea was going through a hopeless patch , today , well it's chelsea again . Last year liverpool looked good for relegation till a certain king kenny turned it around for them , today arsenal are in that position with RVP single-handedly carrying them through ! Arsenal's fate is in RVP's hands , clearly . THAT is a story no one needs to tell . It's going to play itself out in a rather bland way . RVP's going to ,at some point, lose that lovely form to a certain extent and Arsenal will book a hotel in london and probably help with preparations for the olympics . Fuel prices around the world are rising . That is a fact . That is how it should be . A precious natural resource that is running out will..actually HAS TO be costly . We can complain all we like , shout at the government , the oil company bosses or the TV news anchor trying to "bring the people's voice to the government " . None of them can do much about it ! Frankly , none of them should be able to anything about it becasue I for one am disgusted , shocked , annoyed , saddened and disappointed with inability of this so-called technologically advanced world to make  alternate sources of fuel available to everyone . Earthlings are SO reliant on fossil fuels today that people today are ready to upturn whole governments for "over-pricing" fuel . I have already spoken about this earlier so I'm not going to dwell on that too much . What I do want to dwell on today is the solution to this problem and the problem with the solution . We are all ,at some level , hypocrites  . Some not as bad as the others but hypocrites all the same . Especially when it comes to the issue of the environment and rescuing what little is left of it . We have all read , heard , spoken , written, preached about fossil fuels being a precious resource that is almost gone. From the time I first heard about it ( about ten years ago in class 3 ) , the basic , most obvious  solution to this "problem" was moving to renewable sources of energy . Every single environmental science answer paper written by students of this generation will have that one point very clearly written . And yet , even today , people are discussing about the pros and cons of renewable sources of energy . Lets take solar energy for example . Pros : Renewable , abundant ( THAT is what you call an under statement ) , causes no pollution ,cheap to use . Cons : Hmmmmm..hmmm...some hum ho about ...
